Privacy Policy for FocusOne

This Privacy Policy explains how AppMaven ("AppMaven," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the FocusOne Android application (the "App"), package name com.appmaven.focusone.

1. Information You Create and Store in the App

FocusOne is an offline-first application. The information below is created by you and stored only on your device, in the App's private storage. It is never transmitted to AppMaven, and we have no access to it:

Backups you create yourself

The App offers a manual Backup / Restore feature. When you export a backup, the App writes a JSON file containing your goals, streaks, badges and settings to a location you choose through the Android system file picker. That file is yours; we never receive it and cannot access it. If you store it in a cloud service such as Google Drive, that service's privacy policy applies to it.

Images you choose to share

The share feature generates an image of your completed goal on your device and hands it to the Android share sheet, or saves it to your gallery if you ask it to. We do not receive a copy of that image and do not know with whom you share it.

2. Information Processed by Google Services

AppMaven operates no servers for FocusOne, but the App uses a small number of Google services that process limited information.

2.1 Google Analytics for Firebase

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the App is used so we can fix problems and improve it. This service automatically collects:

• Identifiers: a Firebase app-instance ID, which identifies your installation of the App rather than you personally.
• Approximate location: country, region and city, derived by Google from the IP address of your connection. Google states that IP addresses are not logged or stored in Google Analytics; for users in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, IP addresses are dropped before logging and are used solely to derive coarse location before being immediately discarded. The App requests no location permission and never collects GPS or precise location.
• Device and app information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, country and time zone, and similar technical information.
• App interaction data: app opens, screens viewed, session start and duration.
• In-app purchase events: the fact that a purchase or subscription occurred.

In addition, the App sends the following custom events — and these are the only custom events it sends:

2.2 Advertising identifier

FocusOne contains no advertising SDK and shows no advertisements. In app versions up to and including 1.1.0, Google Analytics for Firebase collected the Android Advertising ID (AAID) by default. From version 1.1.1 onward we have disabled advertising-ID collection entirely, and the corresponding permission is removed from the App, so the Advertising ID is no longer collected. Analytics measurement continues to work using the app-instance ID only.

2.3 Google Play Billing

FocusOne offers optional one-time purchases and subscriptions (Premium features and a "support the developer" option). These transactions are processed entirely by Google Play.

• We never see, receive or store your payment details. Your card number, billing address and similar payment information are collected directly by Google Play under Google's own terms; we have no access to them.
• The App receives from Google Play only a purchase confirmation (an anonymous purchase token, order identifier and product identifier) so it can unlock what you paid for. This entitlement check happens on your device.
• Your purchase history is retained by Google in your Google Play account so purchases can be restored.

2.4 Google Play In-App Review

The App may occasionally invite you to rate it using the official Google Play In-App Review interface, which is provided and handled by Google Play. Any review you submit is published to the Google Play Store under Google's terms. We do not collect your review through the App.

2.5 Notifications

Reminder notifications (a morning prompt and an optional streak reminder) are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device using Android's scheduling system. There is no push server, and no notification content is sent over the internet.

3. What We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, FocusOne does not collect, request or store:

• your name, email address, phone number, postal address or date of birth;
• any account or login credentials — the App has no accounts;
• your contacts, calendar, call logs, SMS or messages;
• your photos, videos, audio recordings, microphone or camera input;
• precise or GPS location;
• health or fitness data;
• files or documents from your device, other than the backup file you explicitly export or import;
• the text of your goals, as explained in section 2.1.

The App contains no advertising SDK, shows no third-party advertisements, and uses no crash-reporting SDK such as Firebase Crashlytics. Android and the Google Play Store may independently collect diagnostics such as crash reports at operating-system level under Google's own policies; that is outside our control, and we receive it only as anonymous aggregate statistics in the Google Play Console.

4. How Information Is Used

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making producing legal effects, or behavioural targeting.

5. When Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not transfer your data to data brokers, advertisers or marketing networks.

Information is shared only in these limited circumstances:

• With Google, for the analytics, billing and review functions described in section 2, under Google's own terms and privacy policy.
• If required by law — to comply with valid legal process, a court order or a governmental request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or ourselves.
• In a business transfer — if AppMaven is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; any successor remains bound by this Policy or will notify you of changes.

6. Permissions and Device Features

The App requests no location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar or broad storage permissions.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Retention

• Data on your device is kept until you delete it or uninstall the App. We impose no time limit, because we never hold it.
• Analytics data collected through Google Analytics for Firebase is retained for no longer than 14 months at user and event level, in accordance with the retention period configured for our Analytics property; when that period expires, the data is deleted automatically by Google. Aggregated, non-identifying statistical reports — for example the total number of goals completed — are not affected by this setting and may be retained for longer.
• Purchase records are retained by Google Play in your Google account for as long as Google needs them to provide purchase history and restore functionality and to meet its legal, tax and accounting obligations.

How to delete your data

1. Delete everything the App stores on your device — instantly, no request needed. Open the App and go to Settings → Data → Clear all data. This permanently erases your goals, streaks and badges from your device. Uninstalling the App also removes all locally stored data. This covers all of the content you create in FocusOne, because that content is only ever stored on your device.
2. Analytics data. AppMaven does not operate an individual deletion-request process for analytics data, and we do not claim to offer one. The reason is that this data is anonymous: FocusOne has no accounts, we set no user ID, and the data is tied to an app-instance identifier rather than to you as a person, so we have no reliable way to locate "your" records. This data is deleted automatically by Google when the retention period described above expires, and aggregated reports contain no identifiers at all. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data resets the app-instance identifier, so future usage is no longer connected to past usage.
3. Purchase records. Purchases are recorded in your Google Play account and managed by Google, not by us. Use your Google Account data controls or contact Google Play support. We cannot delete records held in your Google account.
4. Backups you exported. Backup files you created are stored wherever you saved them. Delete the file directly to remove that copy.

8. Your Privacy Choices

• Delete everything in the App. Settings → Data → Clear all data permanently deletes your goals, streaks and badges from your device. This cannot be undone.
• Uninstall the App. This removes all locally stored data. Backups you exported yourself, and purchases recorded in your Google Play account, are unaffected. Uninstalling does not retroactively erase analytics data already held by Google — for that, see section 7.
• Export your data. Settings → Data → Export backup gives you a portable JSON copy of your data at any time.
• Advertising ID controls. On your device, Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you reset or delete the Android Advertising ID. From FocusOne 1.1.1 the App no longer collects it at all.
• Turn off notifications. In the App's Settings, or by revoking the notification permission in Android's system settings.
• Stop all future collection. Uninstalling the App ends analytics collection entirely. If you have questions or wish to object to analytics processing, email hacong86@gmail.com — see section 7 for what we can and cannot do about data already collected.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time — see section 8.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

• the right to access data held about you;
• the right to rectify inaccurate data;
• the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten");
• the right to restrict or object to processing;
• the right to data portability;
• the right to withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent;
• the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (EEA/UK) or your state Attorney General (United States).

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 16. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

Because the App has no accounts, your goals and all other content you create are already exclusively under your control — you can access, export and erase them directly on your device (sections 7 and 8).

For the anonymous analytics data described in section 2.1, we are unable to identify which records relate to any particular person, and we do not collect additional information in order to be able to do so. Under Article 11 of the GDPR, a controller that cannot identify a data subject is not required to maintain or acquire extra information solely to comply with the Regulation; in that situation the rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability may not apply. If you can provide information that allows us to identify the relevant records, we will act on your request. 11. Security

• Data created in the App is stored in Android's private, sandboxed application storage, which other applications cannot read.
• All data transmitted by the Google services we use is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS.
• Because we operate no servers and hold no user database, there is no central store of your goals that could be breached.
• Access to aggregate analytics reports is limited to the developer account holder and protected by Google account security, including two-step verification.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please also protect your device with a screen lock and store any exported backup files safely.

12. Children's Privacy

FocusOne is a general-audience productivity app. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under 16 in jurisdictions where that higher age applies. The App does not participate in the Google Play "Designed for Families" programme. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact hacong86@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. International Processing

Google processes analytics and billing data on servers that may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Where data is transferred out of the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google relies on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and its certification under applicable data privacy frameworks.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when FocusOne's features, SDKs, data practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy at this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or through the Google Play listing when appropriate.
