Privacy Policy for Photo Prompt

This Privacy Policy explains how AppMaven ("AppMaven," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Photo Prompt Android application (the "App"), package name com.appmaven.promptmaster.

The short version

The App never sees your photos. It writes text prompts. You attach your own photo inside ChatGPT, Gemini or Midjourney — not here. The App has no camera permission and no access to your gallery.
What you save stays on your phone. Favourites, your copy history and the prompts you write yourself are stored locally. One caveat we state plainly below: Android’s own backup may copy them to your Google Drive.
Ads are the exception. Google AdMob receives the data listed in section 2. Buying the ad-free upgrade stops that.
No account, no sign-in, no server of ours. We operate no backend and hold no database about you.

1. Information You Create and Store in the App

Everything you make inside the App is written to storage on your device:

Favourites — templates you mark to find again
History — the prompts you have copied, capped at the most recent 50
My Prompts — prompts you write yourself
Your purchase status — whether the ad-free or full unlock has been bought

We do not receive any of it. There is no account to sign into and no server of ours for it to travel to.

The honest caveat about backups. Android’s Auto Backup feature is enabled for this App, which is the Android default. That means the items above may be copied into your own Google Drive and restored if you reinstall the App or set up a new phone. That backup belongs to your Google account — AppMaven cannot read it. To remove it, delete the App’s backup in Google Drive → Backups, or turn Auto Backup off in your Android settings.

2. Information Processed by Google Services

The App includes three Google components. Each is described below with what it processes.

2.1 Google AdMob (advertising)

The App shows ads unless you buy an ad-free upgrade. According to Google’s own published disclosure for the Google Mobile Ads SDK, it collects and shares:

Approximate location — derived from your IP address, used to estimate the general area of a device. Not GPS; the App has no location permission.
App interactions — app opens, taps on ads, video views
Diagnostics — performance information about the ad SDK
Device or other identifiers — the Android advertising ID and app set ID

Google uses these for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. All of it travels over TLS. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent before any personalised advertising. If consent does not permit ads, the ad SDK is not started at all. You can reopen your choices from Saved → About & Legal → Ad privacy options.

2.2 Google Play Billing (purchases)

One-time purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your card number or billing address. The App receives only the result of a purchase — which product was bought and whether it succeeded — so it can unlock what you paid for and restore it if you reinstall.

2.3 Google Play In-App Review

After you have used the App a number of times, it may show Google Play’s own review prompt. If you choose to leave a rating or a written review, that goes to Google Play, not to us. You can edit or delete your review at any time from the Google Play Store.

3. What We Do Not Collect

Your photos. The App has no camera or storage permission and no image picker. It cannot open, read or upload a photo. Every sample picture you see in the gallery is artwork bundled inside the App itself.
Your name, email address or phone number. There is no sign-up.
Precise location. No GPS permission is requested.
Contacts, calendar, messages, files or health data.
Your searches inside the App. The search box filters a list that is already on your phone. Nothing you type there is transmitted anywhere.
Crash reporting of our own. The App integrates no crash-reporting SDK. Android itself collects anonymous crash and ANR reports for every app on a device; you can opt out in Android Settings → Google → Usage & diagnostics.

4. How Information Is Used

To run the App — remembering your favourites, history and purchases
To show ads — the AdMob data in section 2.1, unless you have paid to remove ads
To deliver what you bought — unlocking content and restoring it on a new device

We do not sell your data, and we run no advertising or profiling of our own.

5. When Information Is Shared

The only sharing that happens is with Google, in the ways described in section 2: AdMob for advertising, Google Play for purchases and reviews. There are no other third parties, no data brokers and no analytics vendors.

6. Permissions

The App requests one permission:

Internet access — to load ads and to complete purchases. The prompt catalogue and every sample image are bundled in the App, so browsing works with no connection at all.

The advertising ID permission is added automatically by the Google Mobile Ads SDK, as Google requires for apps targeting Android 13 and above.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we hold nothing about you on any server of ours, there is no account for us to delete. If you have a question about data, write to the address at the end of this page.

8. Your Privacy Choices

Turn off personalised ads — Android Settings → Privacy → Ads
Change your consent choices (EEA/UK/CH) — Saved → About & Legal → Ad privacy options
Remove ads entirely — buy the ad-free upgrade
Stop backups — turn off Android Auto Backup for this App

9. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Consent — personalised advertising, gathered through Google’s consent form before any ad is requested
Contract — processing a purchase you asked for
Legitimate interests — fraud prevention and basic security

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to processing. Because the data described here sits either on your own device or with Google, most of these are exercised through your device settings or your Google account. Write to us and we will help you find the right control.

11. Security

Data transmitted by the Google components travels over TLS. Data on your device is protected by Android’s app sandbox. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

12. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Ad content is capped at a general audience rating.

13. International Processing

Google processes the data described in section 2 on servers in several countries under its own privacy policy and transfer safeguards.
