Privacy Policy for Rune Bounce
This Privacy Policy describes how AppMaven ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and
shares information when you play Rune Bounce (the "Game", package name
com.appmaven.runebounce), available on Google Play.
By downloading, installing, or playing Rune Bounce, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
Quick summary: Rune Bounce does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, phone, or address, and saves game progress locally on your device. The Game uses Google AdMob for rewarded and interstitial ads, Google Play Billing for in-app purchases, and Unity Gaming Services Analytics for anonymous, consent-gated gameplay analytics.
This policy is written to comply with the Google Play User Data policy, the Google Play Families / Designed for Families requirements where applicable, the Google AdMob & EU User Consent Policy, the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

2. Who We Are (Data Controller)
The Game is published by AppMaven.
- Developer / Data Controller: AppMaven
- Contact email: hacong86@gmail.com
For matters relating to data collected by our third-party service providers (Google and Unity), those providers act as independent controllers or our processors as described in Section 6, and their own privacy policies also apply.
3. Information We Collect
We have designed Rune Bounce to collect as little information as possible. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise GPS location.
The information that is collected falls into three groups:
3.1 Information stored only on your device (not sent to us)
The Game saves your progress in a local file on your device (in the app's private storage). This includes:
- Game progress (levels/chapters completed, current run state)
- Virtual currency balances (coins, gems) and owned gear/items
- Upgrade and progression state
- Settings and preferences (audio, etc.)
- A timestamp of when you first opened the Game (used for time-limited offers such as the Starter Pack)
- A record of whether you purchased "Remove Ads" and other in-app items
This data stays on your device. It is not uploaded to any AppMaven server and is not linked to your real-world identity. It is removed when you uninstall the Game or clear the app's data (see Section 8).
3.2 Information collected automatically by Google AdMob (ads)
The Game uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display rewarded and interstitial ads. According to Google, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares the following data for the purposes of advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention:
- Device and account identifiers — Android Advertising ID (AAID), App Set ID, and, where applicable, other identifiers associated with signed-in accounts. Collection of the Android Advertising ID can be limited; see Section 7.
- IP address — which may be used to estimate the approximate general location of a device.
- User product interactions — such as app launches, taps, and video views.
- Diagnostic information — information related to the performance of the app and the SDK, such as app launch time, hang rate, and energy usage.
All user data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS).
3.3 Analytics collected by Unity (Unity Gaming Services Analytics)
Rune Bounce is built with the Unity engine and uses Unity Gaming Services (UGS) Analytics to understand how the Game is played so we can improve it. This analytics data is anonymous — it is not linked to your name, email, or any directly identifying information (the Game has no account system).
Subject to your consent where required (see Section 5), Unity Analytics may collect:
- Device identifiers (for example, an Android device/app identifier) and device information (device model, operating system version, language, region)
- IP address (used to estimate approximate location; not stored as precise location)
- Gameplay events — such as opening the Game (session), starting and completing a chapter, being defeated, levelling up, and how far you progress
- Monetization events — that an in-app purchase occurred (product purchased) and that a rewarded ad was watched, so we can measure performance (no payment card data)
Consent and control: The Unity Analytics SDK starts in a dormant state and collects nothing until data collection is enabled. We only enable it in line with your advertising/privacy consent (for users in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, only after consent is given via the Google UMP consent prompt — see Section 5). You can withdraw consent at any time using the in-Game Privacy options, which stops collection. You may also request deletion of your analytics data; we send a deletion request to Unity on your behalf.
Any data processed by Unity is handled in accordance with the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
3.4 In-app purchase information (Google Play Billing)
When you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment and shares with us a confirmation that the purchase succeeded (the product purchased and the transaction/order status) so that we can grant your items. We never receive or store your credit/debit card number or full billing details; that information is handled solely by Google. Google's handling of your payment data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Payments Terms of Service.
4. How We Use Information
The information described above is used to:
- Display and deliver ads, including measuring ad performance, capping ad frequency, and, where you consent, showing personalized ads.
- Process and deliver in-app purchases and grant the corresponding items, and to honor the "Remove Ads" entitlement.
- Save and restore your game progress on your device.
- Understand and improve the Game through aggregated analytics, such as which levels are difficult, crash reports, and performance diagnostics.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and invalid ad activity, and maintain the security and integrity of the Game.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use this information to build a marketing profile of you under your real-world identity, and we do not sell it.
5. Consent and Your Choices in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, applicable law and the Google EU User Consent Policy require that you be asked for consent before personal data (such as the Advertising ID) is used to serve personalized ads.
To meet this requirement, the Game uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent request:
- You may choose to consent to the use of cookies/identifiers and personal data (such as the Advertising ID) to serve personalized ads, or
- You may decline, in which case the Game serves non-personalized ads. Non-personalized ads still rely on limited data such as contextual information and coarse, non-precise signals for frequency capping, fraud prevention, and reporting.
Where the consent form makes the option available, you can change or withdraw your consent at a later time. You can also control ad personalization at any time using your device settings (see Section 7).
You can reopen the consent prompt at any time inside the Game via Settings → Privacy options.
Note: The consent prompt appears only where a consent message is required for your region. If you have not given consent — or before the prompt becomes available — the Game serves non-personalized ads and keeps anonymous analytics turned off, so that no personalized advertising identifier is used without your consent.
Legal bases under the GDPR
Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we and our partners rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for personalized advertising and non-essential analytics identifiers.
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to deliver the Game and process your in-app purchases.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for security, fraud prevention, and basic, privacy-protective measurement, balanced against your rights.
6. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own independent marketing.
Please note that under some laws (such as the California CPRA), allowing an advertising partner to use an identifier to serve personalized ads can be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you do not consent to personalized ads, or you opt out using the controls in Section 7, this "sharing" does not take place and you receive non-personalized ads instead.
Information is shared only with the service providers that make the Game work:
| Recipient | Purpose | Their privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (AdMob / Google Mobile Ads) | Serving and measuring ads, fraud prevention |
Google Privacy Policy AdMob Privacy |
| Google LLC (Google Play Billing) | Processing in-app purchases | Google Privacy Policy |
| Unity Technologies | Anonymous gameplay analytics, engine diagnostics | Unity Privacy Policy |
These providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards (for example, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AppMaven, our users, or the public.
7. Your Privacy Controls
You have several controls over the data collected through the Game:
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID: On Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) to reset your advertising ID or delete your advertising ID entirely. Deleting it stops apps from receiving it.
- Opt out of personalized ads: In the same Android Ads settings, enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization."
- Manage consent / Privacy options (EEA/UK/CH): Open Settings → Privacy options in the Game to review, change, or withdraw your advertising consent at any time. Withdrawing consent also turns off anonymous analytics collection.
- Analytics opt-out: Anonymous analytics stays off until your consent allows it. You can stop it at any time by withdrawing consent in Settings → Privacy options. To request deletion of analytics data already collected, contact us (see Section 8) and we will send a deletion request to Unity on your behalf.
- Remove ads: Purchasing the "Remove Ads" in-app product stops the display of ads. Note that this stops the display of ads; minimal anti-fraud and diagnostic data may still be processed by the SDKs that remain in the app.
- Delete local data: Uninstall the Game, or go to Android Settings → Apps → Rune Bounce → Storage → Clear data, to remove all locally stored progress and settings.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
- Local game data is retained on your device until you uninstall the Game or clear its data. We do not keep a copy on our servers.
- Data processed by Google and Unity is retained according to their own retention policies (see the links in Section 6). You can exercise deletion and other rights directly with those providers, and you may also contact us at hacong86@gmail.com and we will pass on or assist with deletion requests where we are able.
- Unity Analytics data: Withdrawing consent in Settings → Privacy options stops further collection. On request, we will submit a data-deletion request to Unity for your device's analytics data.
Because the Game uses no account system, we generally cannot identify a specific person's data on third-party systems; deletion of device-level identifiers is best achieved using the Android controls in Section 7.
9. Children's Privacy
Rune Bounce is a casual game intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EEA).
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- We do not knowingly transmit the advertising identifier or other personal identifiers for children or users of unknown age, as required by Google's policies for child-directed content.
- If you believe a child has provided us or our partners with personal information, please contact us at hacong86@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
If, in the Google Play Console, this app's target audience is set to include children, the Game is operated in compliance with the Google Play Families Policy and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), including the use of self-certified, families-appropriate ad SDKs and the suppression of personalized advertising for children.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
EEA / UK / Switzerland (GDPR)
- Access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction, and data portability
- The right to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time
- The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
California (CCPA/CPRA)
- The right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed
- The right to delete personal information
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information
- The right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell your personal information, and you can limit ad personalization using the controls in Section 7
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights
To exercise any right, contact us at hacong86@gmail.com. Many controls (advertising ID reset, ad personalization opt-out, local data deletion) can be exercised directly using Section 7. Because the Game has no account system, we may be unable to associate a request with specific data we hold; we will still act on it to the extent we reasonably can.
11. Data Security
We rely on the security measures of the Android operating system and of our service providers. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. Local save data is stored in the app's private storage area. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we and our providers take reasonable measures to protect your information.
12. International Data Transfers
The Game is available worldwide. Data collected by our service providers may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ. Where required by law, such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Third-Party Services and Links
The Game integrates the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads — AdMob Privacy and Google Privacy Policy
- Google Play Billing — Google Privacy Policy
- Unity — Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services — Google Partner Sites Policy
We encourage you to review these policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the Game, in our service providers, or in the law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide an additional notice in the Game or on the store listing. Your continued use of the Game after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
