Terms of Service for FocusOne

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and AppMaven ("AppMaven," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the FocusOne Android application (the "App"), package name com.appmaven.focusone, distributed through Google Play.

By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to agree to these Terms and to use Google Play, whichever is higher. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms. FocusOne is not directed to children and does not participate in the Google Play "Designed for Families" programme.

2. Licence to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, AppMaven grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

• copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the App, except as permitted by mandatory law;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
• rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or otherwise distribute the App;
• remove or obscure any proprietary notices;
• circumvent, disable or interfere with security or payment features, including any attempt to unlock Premium features without payment;
• use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Google Play's terms.

3. No Account Required

FocusOne does not require you to create an account. Your goals, streaks, badges and settings are stored locally on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. Because there is no account and no cloud sync, we cannot recover your data if your device is lost, reset or damaged.

4. Your Content and Backups

You retain all rights to the goals and other content you create in the App. We do not claim ownership of it and, because it never leaves your device, we cannot access, moderate or restore it.

5. Premium, Subscriptions and One-Time Purchases

The core features of FocusOne are free to use. The App also offers optional paid products:

5.1 Billing

All purchases are processed by Google Play, not by AppMaven. Prices are shown in the App and on Google Play in your local currency before you confirm, and may vary by country and over time. You are responsible for any taxes, fees or charges imposed by your payment provider or the platform. AppMaven never receives or stores your payment card details.

5.2 Auto-renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Google account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

You can cancel at any time in Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access to Premium until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

5.3 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play under Google Play's refund policy, and by any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence, which are not affected by these Terms. Except where required by law or granted by the platform's policy, purchases are final. If you believe you were charged in error, contact Google Play support first; you may also contact us at hacong86@gmail.com and we will assist where we can.

5.4 Restoring purchases

Entitlements are tied to the Google account used for the purchase. If you reinstall the App or change device, use Restore purchase on the Premium screen while signed in to that same Google account. We cannot restore purchases made with a different account.

5.5 Changes to Premium features and pricing

We may add, change or discontinue Premium features over time. If we make a change that materially reduces the value of an active subscription, or if we change subscription pricing, Google Play will notify you and you may cancel before the change takes effect, in accordance with Google Play's rules. Lifetime purchases remain valid for the App's supported lifetime; they do not entitle you to unrelated future products.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• violate any applicable law or regulation;
• infringe the rights of others;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App, our systems or Google's systems;
• distribute malware or interfere with the App's normal operation.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its source code, design, user interface, "FocusOne" name, logo, graphics, text, animations and other content supplied by us, is owned by AppMaven and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a licence to use the App; they do not transfer any ownership rights. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Third-party components included in the App remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their applicable licences.

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on services provided by Google, including Google Play (distribution, billing and in-app review) and Google Analytics for Firebase. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. AppMaven is not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or changes they make.

9. Updates and Availability

We may release updates that add, modify or remove features, and we may stop supporting older versions of Android or of the App. We do not guarantee that the App will be available without interruption or free of errors. We may suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time; where a discontinuation materially affects an active paid subscription, Google Play's refund and cancellation rules apply.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

FocusOne is a productivity aid. It does not provide medical, psychological, financial or professional advice, and it is not a treatment for any condition, including attention-related conditions. You remain responsible for your own decisions, tasks and outcomes. Reminders depend on your device's operating system and settings — including battery optimisation and notification permissions — and may be delayed or not delivered; do not rely on the App for time-critical or safety-critical reminders.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AppMaven will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or missed deadlines or opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid to us for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 25.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AppMaven from any claims, damages, liabilities and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or of applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms, including by attempting to circumvent payment or security features. On termination, the licence in section 2 ends; sections that by their nature should survive — including sections 7, 10, 11, 12 and 15 — continue to apply. Termination does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel it as described in section 5.2.

14. Privacy

Our handling of information is described in the FocusOne Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will change accordingly, and material changes may also be communicated in the App or through the Google Play listing. Your continued use of the App after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of them.
